The Ford F-150 has long been one of the top-selling vehicles on earth, and is a common sight on the roads as a result. That popularity has also made earlier F-150 models quite collectible and valuable over the years, too, a phenomenon that seems to be creeping up into more recent generations as of late. That includes models produced and sold in the 2000s and even 2010s, as we’ve seen quite a few pop up at collector car auctions as of late – a list that now includes this bare bones yet rather nice 2004 Ford F-150 XLT.

This 2004 Ford F-150 XLT pickup is currently up for auction at Bring a Trailer and has just 585 miles on the clock, which is a stunningly low figure for any vehicle of this vintage. Unsurprisingly, it remained in the possession of the original owner until the selling dealer recently acquired it, though it’s entirely unclear why the previous owner didn’t bother to drive it much at all. What we do know is that they liked chrome, because they added quite a lot of that to the outside, at least.

Regardless, the long bed, regular cab pickup remains in great shape, with flawless True Blue Metallic paint, chrome wheels, and General Ameritrac TR tires on the outside. Inside the cabin, one will find Medium Flint and Dark Flint cloth upholstery, air conditioning, power-adjustable pedals, power windows, and a CD stereo.

Power comes from the naturally-aspirated 5.4L V8, which was factory-rated to produce 300 horsepower and 365 pound-feet of torque, and is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission driving all four wheels.

If nothing else, this 2004 Ford F-150 might be the lowest-mile example left on the planet, though we’re seeing more and more of them surface for sale these days. That list also recently included a 2005 XL model with a five-speed manual transmission that popped up with 13k miles on the clock, too.
