2006 Ford Crown Victoria With 39K Miles Up For Auction

The Ford Crown Victoria (and its Panther platform counterparts, the Mercury Grand Marquis and Lincoln Town Car) continue to grow in terms of popularity, even though all of them were discontinued years ago. There’s just something about a large, V8-powered, rear-wheel drive sedan that Americans love, even though those types of things don’t really exist anymore – at least, on the new vehicle market. Now, this 2006 Ford Crown Victoria looks set to attract its fair share of attention on the auction block, too.

This 2006 Ford Crown Victoria is currently up for auction at Bring a Trailer with just 39k miles on the clock, though it has lived with five owners thus far. Regardless, it remains in great condition with flawless Light Tundra Metallic paint, save for a minor blemish on the rear bumper. The big sedan rolls on a set of 16-inch multi-spoke aluminum wheels wrapped with GT Radial Touring VP Plus tires.

Inside the cabin, one will find seats covered in Medium Parchment leather, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, power-adjustable front seats, woodgrain trim, a cassette stereo, cruise control, and automatic climate control.

Power comes from the naturally-aspirated 4.6L V8, which in this guise was factory-rated to produce 224 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque and is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Power disc brakes at all four corners help slow the big sedan down, too.

If there’s one thing for certain, it’s that nice, lower-mile Ford Crown Victoria sedans are quite common on the used market these days. In fact, we’ve spotted quite a few of them up for sale on the collector car auction circuit in recent months – a list that includes a 2004 Crown Victoria with a mere 10k miles on the clock earlier this year, as well as a 2005 LX Sport model with 55k miles just this past April.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
