The 2026 Ford Explorer isn’t just getting the all-new Tremor trim – it’s also rolling out with a couple fresh wheels, bringing the lineup to seven distinct designs. Ford Authority outlines everything there is to know about each option, including pricing and availability where applicable.
Wheel availability depends on trim level. The 2026 Ford Explorer lineup includes the new Active Base trim, along with Active, ST-Line, Tremor, ST, and Platinum. The Active Base and Active trims share the 18-inch Sparkle Silver-Painted aluminum wheels as standard, while the Active can be dressed up with a set of 20-inch Carbonized Gray-painted aluminum wheels for $1,395. The 20-inch Luster Nickel Painted aluminum wheels are offered on the Active for the same price, while they’re also the standard set on the Platinum trim.
The ST-Line trim, meanwhile, wears the 20-inch Ebony-Painted machined aluminum wheels as standard, while the 21-inch magnetite-painted aluminum wheels are available on this trim as part of the $1,450 ST-Line Street Pack bundle. Those same 21-inch rollers are standard on the ST trim, too.
The 2026 Ford Explorer Tremor gets the 18-inch High-Gloss Ebony black-painted aluminum wheels with Tremor Orange accents as standard, which are the only wheels offered on this model. Finally, the 21-inch Bright Machined Aluminum wheels with Tarnish Dark pockets are optional on the Explorer Tremor, a $745 option.
Aside from the addition of the aggressive Tremor trim, the 2026 Ford Explorer gets a few other tweaks just one year after it was treated to a midcycle refresh. One of the most notable pertains to the Platinum, which no longer offers the twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 EcoBoost as an option, making the turbocharged 2.3L I4 EcoBoost the default powerplant for that trim – as Ford Authority was the first to report. In a similar vein, the 2026 Ford Explorer Platinum loses its Ultimate Package for the new model year, which makes sense, considering that bundle included that V6 engine for that particular trim.
The 2026 Ford Explorer starts at $38,465, not including destination freight charges.
