Ford Performance Racing School Selling Its Focus RS Fleet

Over the years it has existed, the Ford Performance Racing School has offered the owners of various Blue Oval models the chance to hone their driving skills at more than one venue – including its current home base of Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina. As one might imagine, those same vehicles are typically sold off after their time is up and they’re discontinued, or when they’re replaced by something newer. Now, that’s also the case with the fleet of Focus RS models once used by the Ford Performance Racing School.

This news comes to us from a Reddit user, who recently posted a communication from the Ford Performance Racing School informing folks that it’s selling off its entire Focus RS fleet. According to one commenter, Ford is selling those vehicles for $20,000, so it’s questionable whether or not one will get a good value, given the fact that these cars were driven quite hard on the track in their lifetime.

Regardless, one is getting a pretty cool machine for that outlay of cash. The Focus RS came equipped with the turbocharged 2.3L I-4 EcoBoost engine, which was factory rated to produce 350 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque, flowing to all four wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox and Dynamic Torque Vectoring. Other features such as launch control and a sport suspension make the simple act of driving the Ford Focus RS a bit more enjoyable, too.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen FoMoCo liquidate some old driving school cars, either. In fact, as Ford Authority reported in June 2024, also hosted a fleet sale for the Ford Mustang Mach 1 Track Attack cars used in that owner experience. Those cars came equipped with an enhanced version of the naturally-aspirated 5.0L V8 Coyote engine cranking out 480 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque, flowing to the rear wheels via the Tremec TR-3150 six-speed manual transmission, or, in some cases, the 10-speed automatic.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
