2023 Ford Expedition Changes, Updates, New Features

The 2023 Ford Expedition represents the sixth model year of the full-size SUV’s fourth generation, introducing several minor changes and updates.

Iconic Silver Metallic now available on Platinum trim
- For 2022 model year, was only available for XL and XLT trims
Addition of two exterior color options
- Jewel Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat
- Race Red
  - Availability: available as a Fleet-only option
Deletion of one exterior color option
- Rapid Red
Deletion of hands-free, foot-activated liftgate
- For 2022 model year, was available on XLT with Livery package, standard on Timberline, Limited, King Ranch and Platinum
- Hands-free, foot-activated feature become unavailable during the 2022 model year, with models requiring the 98D option code to delete the feature. Models built without this feature still have the power liftgate.

Addition of Ebony Black interior as standard on Timberline 501A
- Previously unavailable for 2022 model year
Deletion of Deep Cypress interior from 501A
- For 2022 model year, available as optional on Timberline trim
Front and second-row floor liners are now standard on Timberline
- For 2022 model year, front and second-row floor liners were offered as a standalone package on all trims
Cargo mat is now a dealer-installed option
