Automotive performance company AWE Tuning is spreading out from its established comfort zone of R&D for European imports by taking a stab at the S550 Ford Mustang, both GT and EcoBoost models.
The AWE Mustang Performance Line will include a portfolio of exhaust options, according to website Mustang6G, with three variants: Touring Edition, which offers a moderate change in exhaust tone; a SwitchPath™ valved system, which allows the user to change the exhaust note volume using an included remote; and Track Edition, which unleashes a loud, ferocious exhaust note across the RPM range. Later in the year, a line of carbon-fiber intakes (race-only) will be made available, as well.
“Twenty-six years in European performance engineering has led to this,” says AWE Tuning Vice President of Marketing Jesse Kramer. “An exhaust, and soon-to-be carbon-fiber intake line, that will take our precision-engineering approach and offer it to the American car market.”
Stay tuned for the AWE Mustang Performance Line’s official launch.
