Ford Mustang Discount Offers Non-Existent During March 2022

Editor’s note: Ford has released new Mustang incentives for March, which you can find here. It appears that these new incentives replace the incentives described below.

A 5.9 percent APR financing offer is the only incentive available for the Ford Mustang during March 2022. The financing offer appears to be available nationwide and is specific to 2021 models.

As previously reported by Ford Authority, Ford is no longer offering manufacturer incentives for 2020 Mustang models and has yet to offer incentives for newer 2022 models. It’s also worth noting that the range-topping Mach 1 and Shelby GT500 continue to be excluded from the manufacturer incentives, which has been the case since the introduction of both models.

Ford Mustang Discount Offers

As mentioned above, the only Ford Mustang discount available during March 2022 is a 5.9 percent APR financing offer for 84 months.

This incentive is very conservative as a result of healthy demand and tight supply, a circumstance brought about by the current pandemic. FoMoCo continues to grapple with ongoing supply shortages, including but not limited to the well-publicized microchip shortage. The latest estimates put the chip shortage as lasting a minimum of six months starting in January 2022.

Ford Mustang Pricing

For reference, here are the applicable 2021 Mustang trim levels and their corresponding starting MSRPs, including destination charge:

EcoBoost Fastback – $27,205
EcoBoost Premium Fastback – $32,225
GT Fastback – $36,285
GT Premium Fastback – $40,285

Convertible

EcoBoost Convertible – $32,705
EcoBoost Premium Convertible – $37,725
GT Premium Convertible – $45,785

It’s worth noting that the Mustang Bullitt as well as the Shelby GT350 have been discontinued after the 2020 model year. Both models have been indirectly replaced by the 2021 Mustang Mach 1.
