After enjoying a wildly popular albeit short run in 1969 and 1970, the Ford Mustang Boss 302 returned for another abbreviated period of time in 2012 and 2013. Originally built as Ford wanted to go Trans Am racing, the second-generation Boss 302 was also intended to be a track-focused machine, and has since become a popular collectible as well. We’ve seen quite a few pop up for sale in recent years, including this 2k-mile 2013 model, along with not just one, but two of the more hardcore and quite rare Laguna Seca Edition models. Now, we can add another to that list, courtesy of this stellar 2013 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca up for grabs at Bring a Trailer.
Like most of the 747 units built in total, this particular 2013 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca hasn’t been driven much over the years, and currently has just 625 miles showing on the odometer. However, it has remained in the possession of the original owner to this point, and it’s in stellar condition, as one might assume. On the outside, perfect black paint is accented by reflective striping, Boss 302 decals, a Laguna Seca badge, and blocked-off fog light openings.
Underneath, the Boss 302 Laguna Seca features an array of suspension upgrades including stiffer manually adjustable shocks, unique springs, and a larger rear sway bar, along with Brembo front brakes and 19-inch Sterling Gray wheels wrapped with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires.
The same goes for the interior, which features Charcoal Black Recaro sport seats with Boss 302 embroidery, engine-turned dashboard trim, Ford’s TracKey, a rear-seat delete, an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel, and a tubular X-brace. All of this racing goodness is backed up by what’s known as the “Road Runner” version of the naturally-aspirated Ford 5.0L Coyote V8, which sends 444 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission and a 3.73-geared Torsen helical limited-slip differential.
Add it all up, and it’s pretty clear that this 2013 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca is a special car, though in all fairness, any pony car with Boss 302 adorning its flanks is something worth celebrating.
