While we’ve seen plenty of Ford F-150 pickups from the ninth-generation hit the auction block and sell for big money for quite some time now, that hasn’t largely been the case with the more modern-styled tenth-generation. However, that’s quickly changing, as we’ve come across a handful of nice, low-mile pickups from this era in recent weeks, including a 1999 F-150 XL with just 3,500 miles on the clock, as well as a 2003 F-150 XLT with 47k miles. Now, that list continues to grow with this very nice 1999 Ford F-150 Lariat, which is currently up for auction at Cars & Bids.

This particular 1999 Ford F-150 Lariat has just 45,000 miles on the clock and has lived its life under two owners, but now, it’s looking for a third. It’s largely stock as well, save for a few simple modifications that include a hood deflector, rubberized bed coating, a Tekonsha electronic brake controller, and a Pioneer radio. Otherwise, there aren’t too many bones to pick here, save for a few scratches and underbody corrosion.

Though it’s a well-equipped Lariat with four-wheel drive, this F-150 isn’t quite like its more luxurious counterparts, as it’s equipped with cloth seats, albeit amenities including a power driver’s seat, air conditioning, cruise control, and power windows, mirrors, and door locks. Its Flareside bed is certainly appealing, however, as is the truck’s overall simplicity, which bodes well for long-term reliability.

Pop the hood, and one will find the naturally-aspirated Ford 5.4L V8, which was originally rated to produce 260 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque, and it’s mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. It remains to be seen if and/or when the tenth-generation Ford F-150 becomes as popular – and valuable – as its predecessors, but one thing’s for sure – this one is about as nice as they get.

We’ll have more cool auction finds like this to share soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for the latest Ford F-Series news, Ford F-150 news, and ongoing Ford news coverage.
