In recent months, we’ve seen quite a few nice Ford Taurus models surface for sale at collector car auctions across the web, a list that includes a 40k-mile 2004 wagon, a sub-200 mile 2005 SE wagon, and a well-preserved example of that model’s more luxurious counterpart, a 2004 Mercury Sable LS wagon. Now, we have yet another super nice model from Blue Oval history to add to that list – this 2004 Ford Taurus SE sedan, which is currently up for grabs at Bring a Trailer.

This particular 2004 Ford Taurus SE sedan has lived much of its life in Oregon and Washington State, at least until the seller acquired it earlier this year, and now, it’s looking for a new home with a relatively low 84k miles on the clock. Finished in Silver Frost Metallic, this Taurus doesn’t have too many flaws showing on the outside, save for the typical cosmetic blemishes, though the right center cap is missing from one of its silver 16-inch alloy wheels as well.

The same goes for the interior, which features gray cloth seats with black inserts along with a tilt steering wheel, a power sliding driver seat, cruise control, a trip computer, air conditioning, power windows and door locks, remote keyless entry with perimeter lighting, and a factory cassette stereo with a trunk-mounted CD changer. Power steering and power-assisted front discs help this 2004 Ford Taurus drive like a modern machine, too.

Power for this discontinued sedan comes from the naturally-aspirated Vulcan 12-valve 3.0L V6, which in this guise was factory-rated to produce 155 horsepower and 185 pound-feet of torque, flowing to the front wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission. Interestingly, as of this writing, not a single bid has been placed on this nicely-kept Taurus after three days, which means that with no reserve set, it may very well wind up selling for a pretty great price.

We’ll have more cool auction finds like this to share soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for the latest Ford Taurus news and continuous Ford news coverage.
