As many are well aware by now, Ford Maverick pricing has increased on many occasions since the compact pickup launched for the 2022 model year with a sub-$20k MSRP (sans destination charges), which is hard to believe at this point. For a while, Maverick prices just kept on creeping upward amid supply chain shortages, high demand, and soaring inflation, and now, 25 percent tariffs on imported automobiles seem destined to impact it even further, given the fact that the pickup is built at the Hermosillo Assembly plant in Mexico. As a result, 2025 Ford Maverick prices are now set to increase yet again.

We’re getting this piece of information from Reddit, where a user just visited their local Blue Oval dealer and got a copy of a notice from the automaker informing them that 2025 Ford Maverick pricing increased effective May 2nd, 2025. Titled “25MY Ford Imported Vehicle Mid Year Pricing,” this document seems to imply that tariffs are the reasoning behind this latest batch of price increases, which are one of many that we’ve seen take effect over the past few years.

Aside from certain options getting more expensive, the 2025 Ford Maverick itself will be treated to price increases ranging from $645 for the Tremor up to $1,150 for the base XL hybrid, as well as the XLT hybrid. Destination charges have increased by $100 as well, meaning that the cheapest 2025 Ford Maverick will set one back $29,840 with that mandatory expense included.

It is worth noting that existing inventory won’t be impacted, so there is time for shoppers to pick up a new Maverick before these price increases take effect, at least. As Ford Authority reported back in August 2024, the refreshed 2025 Ford Maverick debuted with a rather large price increase compared to the outgoing model already – ranging from $875 to $2,555, depending on trim level – though it does have more standard equipment than its predecessor, including a digital instrument gauge cluster and a larger, 13.2-inch screen running SYNC 4.

    • There will still be tariffs because not all the parts are manufactured in the U.S.

    • Yes, because the cost of purchasing land, building a manufacturing plant, tooling that plant, hiring and training staff, and paying that staff the wages they would require, can not only happen immediately, but wouldn't also cause costs of this or any manufactured good undergoing such a transfer to increase in price just as much, if not more.

      • Then what is the answer? Continue to have countries dump their product on us and continue to give away our manufacturing base along with the design and engineering that go with it?

    • It takes years to setup new factories

      Other than maybe 1 line here or there even adding to existing factories takes a year or so

      by the time they shifted production Orangeman and his BS will be gone (either due to term, nature, or the courts stepping in)

      • How do you know the next administration would not keep the tariffs and that Ford would lower the price?

    • Probably still cheaper than or about the same as the tariff after you factor in the very much higher labor cost courtesy of Sean Fain and auto workers.

    • Sure, it will take about 5 years to plan and move production like this. About 7 if we include auto parts. So in 2032 most parts would also made in the US - most because some just can’t.

      Once it’s all moved, the Maverick price will have to climb about 55% before inflation, for all of this to make sense economically.

      • The truth is, there are plants in the USA which are only 60% utilized, which means it would be feasible to start manufacturing here rather quickly. Of course 55% climb is absurd and will NOT happen, as the price would now be cost prohibitive. Everyone needs to apply some patience and common sense in this situation. It will resolve.

    • This was forced by our geat leader CONald trump. A tariff that most economists say doesn't make any sense and is a disaster.

        If America doesn't regain its manufacturing capabilities, independent of outside counties, we will be crushed in the coming war with China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran, when they all come to Our doorstep ! Try to think outside your own cheap pocket.

  • With Ford raising MSRPs over 40 percent in the last four years this is just another excuse to raise prices. Ford has no vehicle under 30k, remember all Ford prices are with out destination charge. See what the lust for short term profits get you.

    • So the tariff ended and their costs between tariffed parts and the tariff for shipments entering this country are back down?

      No one is "trying" to make it about tariffs.

      Its about tariffs.

      • Tariffs wouldn't even be in the conversation, had Ford not outsourced to Mexico to make more profit off the less paid workers.
        Trust me, it IS possible to build less expensive in the USA it just takes less greed by CEOs, and Stock traders.
        America used to be about building great companies that employed great people, and grew with demand. Today, greed rules!

  • Even without tariffs and family pricing ruse or pay what we do ruse they are a cheapy little truck and wanting too much money does not increase sales.

  • Unacceptable. Don't buy one. But, shifting production to the US would encounter those outrageous UAW wages, so prices would rise the same or more. No win except to kill tariffs.

      People who blame union wages on unions , obviously have never worked ( WORKED) at a place.
      Every company that works with Union workers " Agrees to a contract", just like any Joe with a private business that has clients sign a contract for work done. If you don't like the contract , don't sign... Works both ways!

  • FAKE NEWS. If the price increase is in August, how did it go up May 2. If the increase is 25%, I don't even see 10%. As someone previously stated Employee Pricing is in effect on in stock vehicles. This article was probably written by a person who didn't visit a dealership to buy a car.
