Hot hatch fans in the U.S. have few options to choose from these days, at least as it pertains to the new vehicle market, but in the realm of The Blue Oval, such a thing simply doesn’t exist. Rather, with the Focus and Fiesta having been discontinued years ago, those seeking a Ford-branded hot hatch must look to the used market, where those models are quickly becoming more and more popular with collectors. At the same time, there are plenty of nice, lower-mile models like this Ford Focus RS ripe for the picking, which is good news for shoppers, too.

This 2016 Ford Focus RS is up for auction at Bring a Trailer with just 1,800 miles on the clock, and it certainly doesn’t look like it’s been driven much, ether. Rather, the factory Stealth Gray paint presents like new and has no flaws noted in the auction listing, which is also true of the car’s black 19-inch forged alloy wheels, currently wrapped in a set of Michelin tires of unknown vintage.

Inside the cabin, one will find a very sanitary interior with Charcoal Black leather and Miko Dinamica microsuede upholstered seats, cruise control, dual-zone automatic climate control, a heated and leather-wrapped steering wheel, and SYNC infotainment.

In terms of power, that comes from the the turbocharged 2.3L I-4 EcoBoost engine, which was factory rated to produce 350 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque, flowing to all four wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox and Dynamic Torque Vectoring. A set of four-wheel disc brakes with Brembo calipers up front helps slow it all down, and other features such as launch control and a sport suspension make the simple act of driving the Ford Focus RS a bit more enjoyable.

We’ve certainly seen our fair share of nice, low-mile Ford Focus RS models up for auction as of late, each in pretty stellar condition. That list includes a pair of 2017s, most recently – one with less than 20 miles on the clock, and another with a mere 700.
