Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2024-2026 Ford Ranger models over a an issue with the air bag.
The defect: in affected vehicles, the side curtain air bags may contact the B-Pillar inner reinforcements and tear during deployment. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 226, “Ejection Mitigation.”
The hazards: air bags that deploy improperly during a crash increase the risk of injury.
Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this issue.

Affected vehicles: select 2024-2026 Ford Ranger pickups produced between December 9th, 2022, and July 29th, 2025.
Number of vehicles affected: 100,900
The fix: dealers will install protective shields, free of charge.
Owners should: wait for communications from Ford, which will begin on September 8th, 2025. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available, which is anticipated to happen in December 2025. The Ford reference number for this recall is 25C41.

Seems Ford can no longer build any product without attaching many recalls to the product. Oh well, I guess you need to look on the bright side, there's no extra charge for them!
Ford is suffering under Jim, recall after recall. It’s embarrassing for the company.
Seems like their engineers are under time pressure and keep missing stuff.
