2025 Ford Bronco Removable Hoop Step Now Dealer Installed Option

Back in 2022, The Blue Oval added a removable hoop step to the options list for the Ford Bronco. Said hoop steps make it easier to get in and out of the off-road SUV, providing a foothold for passengers of both two- and four-door models. They’re still available on the 2025 Ford Bronco – but they’re no longer offered as a factory option.

The 2025 Ford Bronco can still be fitted with the removable hoop steps, but they’re not a factory installed extra anymore. They’re a dealer-installed option (DIO), which means they’re shipped separately from the vehicle and installed once it reaches its destination dealer.

There are two ways to acquire the removable hoop steps. They can be ordered as a DIO for the 2025 Ford Bronco Base and Big Bend trims. They’re priced at $965 on the two-door Base and $1,150 on four-door Base and Big Bend models, and buyers should note that neither trim offers the hoop steps in conjunction with the powder coated tube step. The steps can also be ordered as a standalone kit from the Ford accessory website for any Bronco trim. The two-door kit is priced at $965, while the four-door kit runs $1,150.

It’s worth noting that when they were first introduced, the removable hoop steps cost $365, regardless of Bronco configuration. They were originally offered as a standalone option from the factory on all Bronco trims, or as part of the Mid and High Packages available on certain models.

When the 2025 Ford Bronco debuted last fall, its pricing stayed mostly in line with the 2024 model it replaced. But a few months later, things got shaken up. Some trims saw modest price hikes while others dropped. In fact, The Blue Oval slashed prices for the Bronco Raptor, which shed over $10,000, dropping from $90,035 to $79,995 (before destination fees). Meanwhile, on the opposite end of the spectrum, the 2025 Bronco Base now starts at $38,995, up just $1,000 from its debut pricing.

  2. $1150?!?! Sounds like it’s time to get a third-party step instead. Put them on my Expedition and it is an easy install with no welding or drilling.
