Given the fact that it has long been one of the top-selling vehicles on earth, it should also come as no surprise that there are plenty of Ford F-150 pickups out there roaming the roads from various generations. That popularity has also made earlier F-150 models quite collectible and valuable over the years, too, a phenomenon that seems to be creeping up into more recent generations as of late. That includes models produced and sold in the 2000s and even 2010s, as we’ve seen quite a few pop up at collector car auctions – a list that now includes this rather nice 2005 Ford F-150.
This 2005 Ford F-150 is currently up for auction at Bring a Trailer with 53k miles showing on the odometer, and it’s a Flareside model with the FX4 package and very nice Ebony paint paired with Dark Shadow Gray Metallic lower portions and bumpers, though there are a few paint chips present. The pickup rolls on a set of 20-inch six-spoke alloy wheels wrapped with 275/55 Pirelli Scorpion ATR tires, which cover disc brakes at all four corners.
Inside the cabin, one will find Medium Flint leather upholstered seating with a power-sliding driver’s seat, along with amenities such as an in-dash six-disc CD changer, air conditioning, cruise control, and power windows, locks, and mirrors.
Power comes from the naturally-aspirated Ford 5.4L V8, which was factory-rated to produce 300 horsepower and 365 pound-feet of torque and is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission driving either the rear or all four wheels.
In addition to this mostly pristine Ford F-150, we also came across a stellar 2004 XLT model not too long ago. That pickup has just 585 miles on the clock, however, and perhaps unsurprisingly, wound up hammering for a solid price of $25,000 when it crossed the auction block – also at Bring a Trailer – almost exactly one month ago.
It shows a lot of promise thus far.
He apparently tuned his pickup and now needs pricey repairs.
A nifty way to conceal additional lighting sources when they aren't needed.
The resulting mine will churn out massive amounts of the material when it's finished.
Not much has changed on that front.
A nice little touch under the hood.
