The 2026 calendar year is almost upon us. In the Chinese zodiac, 2026 represents “the year of the horse,” and to celebrate the occasion, Greenlight Collectibles designed a special edition 2022 Ford F-450 Super Duty diecast, bringing new meaning to the words “horsepower.”

The 1:64 scale 2022 Ford F-450 Super Duty features a red and gold paint scheme. Red serves as the base color with gold detailing featuring detailed artwork designed to celebrate the Year of the Horse. This includes rearing horse graphics on the front doors, accompanied by traditional ornamentation, Chinese characters, and “2026” emblazoned on the rear doors.

The roof also boldly sports “2026” script in gold, while gold flowers are splashed across the hood to commemorate the Lunar New Year. There’s also a cute horse illustration shown in the bed of the pickup, but it’s likely that this is just decoration for the announcement and not indicative of a design element that will make it to the real-life model.

“Celebrate tradition with horsepower,” Greenlight says. “Stay tuned –  this one’s racing in fast!”

At the time of this writing, Greenlight has not released pricing for this special edition model 2022 Ford F-450 Super Duty. It’s tagged with item No. 30577, and the manufacturer encourages interested buyers to keep an eye out for its availability.

The horse is the seventh animal in the 12-year Chinese zodiac cycle, representing vitality, strength, and speed. People born in the Year of the Horse are said to embody these principles, and are known for being hardworking and successful. That’s why Greenlight chose the 2022 Ford F-450 Super Duty to represent the Year of the Horse – the heavy duty truck is certainly hardworking and strong, packing plenty of horsepower.

Of course, the Super Duty isn’t the only Blue Oval model created and sold by Greenlight. The toymaker also offers a Stone Blue 2024 Ford Explorer, a 1969 Ford Mustang straight from John Wick, and first-gen Ford Bronco.
