Lincoln Nautilus Owners Love Their Google Powered Infotainment

Since its debut for the 2024 model year, the redesigned Lincoln Nautilus has racked up not only its fair share of sales, but also, quite a lot of awards from various entities and publications. At least some of those accolades can be attributed to the new Google-powered infotainment software present in the Lincoln Nautilus, which runs on an 11.1-inch center touchscreen and a massive coast-to-coast unit. Turns out, Lincoln Nautilus owners are also big fans of that same software.

According to the J.D. Power 2025 U.S. Multimedia Quality and Satisfaction Study, the Google-based infotainment software used in the new Lincoln Nautilus achieved the highest customer satisfaction score of any mid-size or large premium model on the market today. It received a score of 938 out of a possible 1,000 points, in fact, helping it to just barely edge out the Cadillac Lyriq and its HERE software, which received a score of 935.

The 2025 J.D. Power U.S. Multimedia Quality and Satisfaction Study is based on the responses of 92,694 purchasers and lessees of new 2025 model-year vehicles who were surveyed after 90 days of ownership. Overall, it found that multimedia-related issues have declined to 42.3 problems per 100 vehicles (PP100), down from 44.1 PP100 in 2024. However, infotainment continues to be a problem, accounting for five of the top 10 most frequently cited issues by drivers involving multimedia systems.

“As automakers accelerate toward fully digital cockpits, we’re seeing a clear shift in consumer expectations as larger touchscreens are now the norm, but intuitive use has been inconsistent,” said Lisa Boor, senior manager of auto benchmarking and mobility development at J.D. Power. “Vehicle owners desire technology that is easy to use and minimizes distractions while driving. User frustration builds when controls are confusing and screens are cluttered. Data shows that a blend of touchscreen and physical buttons enhances usability – the goal isn’t simply fewer buttons, but also intuitive design.”

Regardless, this is just the latest accolade for the Lincoln Nautilus, which previously received a 2024 Best of What's New Award from Popular Science, MotorTrend's 2025 SUV of the Year, a 2025 J.D. Power APEAL Award, and a first-place segment ranking in Consumer Reports' most satisfying vehicles on the market list.

  2. Google maps is sometimes a nightmare. For example, it will say turn right and the moment to turn right, it “ changes it’s mind” and issues directions to make a “U” turn. In some areas with limited or no cell service, the system is off line and you cannot get new directions. It will, however, follow previous routing if applicable.
