We’ve seen our fair share of newer, last-generation Mercury Grand Marquis sedans hit the auction block as of late, oftentimes sporting few miles on the clock after living a pampered life thus far. However, when it comes to older Grand Marquis models, those haven’t quite become as common a sight as the Ford LTD Crown Victoria, a more boxy ride that has proven to be quite popular with used vehicle shoppers, too. That may be set to change soon, as this very nice 1990 Mercury Grand Marquis LS just popped up for sale.

This 1990 Mercury Grand Marquis LS is currently being auctioned off at Bring a Trailer with just 34k miles on the clock, and it doesn’t look much worse for wear, either. The seller just acquired it in 2023, but the auction listing doesn’t note how many folks it has lived with since it was sold new. Regardless, it looks fantastic in every regard, with no flaws noted on the sedan’s Alabaster bodywork, complimented by an ivory vinyl roof and 15-inch turbine-style cast-aluminum wheels.

Inside, there are a few typical creases on the Light Sandalwood leather seats, and the radio and power antenna aren’t currently working. Otherwise, it’s a sanitary cabin with amenities including power-adjustable front seats, a tilting leather-wrapped steering wheel, power locks and windows, cruise control, and air conditioning.

Under the hood, one will find the quite common, naturally-aspirated Ford 5.0L V8, which is fuel-injected and originally rated to produce a modest 150 horsepower. It’s mated to a four-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels, while braking duties are handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.

This may be the first Mercury Grand Marquis from this generation we’ve spotted for sale at auction in recent years, but there have been quite a few Ford LTD Crown Victoria models hitting that same circuit – including a 1990 model we came across not too long ago with 32k miles on the clock.
