Back in early July, the 2026 Ford Mustang landing page launched at The Blue Oval’s official site, giving us a preview of what changes to expect for the new model years lineup. Though the pony car is coming off a full redesign for the 2024 model year, it continues to receive some notable tweaks with each turn of the proverbial calendar, and 2026 will be no different. In fact, aside from the typical color and option/package tweaks, there are some notable additions to the 2026 Ford Mustang lineup that we can now explore via the model’s build and price configurator.
The 2026 Ford Mustang build and price configurator is officially live, months after the landing page debuted, and it can be found here. At the moment, there aren’t any huge surprises to be found, as expected, given the fact that we recently learned the all-new Mustang EcoBoost RTR model won’t debut until October 15th, 2025, at Race Service in Los Angeles, California. Otherwise, there are a handful of tweaks in store for the new model year.
Those tweaks include the addition of two new exterior color options – Adriatic Blue Metallic and Orange Fury Metallic Tricoat, the latter of which is making a comeback after disappearing from the palette for a few years. Both of those hues will be available on EcoBoost, GT, and Dark Horse trims. Inside the cabin, new seatbelt color options include Orange, Prime Blue, and Black with a red stripe.
Perhaps the biggest news regarding the 2026 Ford Mustang, however, is the arrival of the new, Fox Body-inspired FX Package, pictured here. Available only on the GT Premium in coupe or convertible guise, the FX Package adds a host of unique retro exterior features such as the aforementioned Adriatic Blue Metallic paint, Oxford White-painted 19-inch wheels (with two different designs), and various other touches featuring the same color – such as the GT badges, a sticker on the rear glass of the coupe, and the grille nostrils on Performance Package-equipped examples.
Inside the cabin, the 2026 Ford Mustang FX Package features plaid-style inserts for the seats – another cool retro feature – coupled with blue stitching, Dark Alley trim (borrowed from the Dark Horse), and a Mustang GT badge on the dash.
