Among the many aftermarket upgrades Ford F-Series owners have to choose from, off-road lighting kits remain among the most popular. This makes sense given the fact that off-roading, in general, has exploded in popularity in recent years, and those that traverse trails in the dark can benefit greatly from having some additional lumens available for those types of scenarios – oftentimes, headlights just don’t quite do the trick. Now, Ford F-Series owners can score a big lighting upgrade from the Ford Performance catalog, too.
That upgrade is the new Ford F-Series A-pillar off-road light kit, which just landed in the Ford Performance catalog under part number M-15200K-FSA, with a retail price tag of $525. It’s designed to fit 2020-2026 Ford F-150 and 2019-2026 Ford Super Duty pickups, giving owners a lighting kit that’s designed specifically to mount behind the hood for a clean appearance.
This new off-road lighting kit contains two Rigid D-SS Spot Pod Off-Road Lights, which offer up 6,336 raw lumens and 45 watts of power, with an LED lifespan of 50,000 HR and a spot optic with side spill lighting sporting a 120-degree wide beam. The kit also comes with two mounting brackets, wiring harnesses, Ford Performance branded black covers, and all of the necessary hardware and fasteners needed to install it.
This new Ford F-Series A-pillar off-road light kit gives owners a solid way to help illuminate trails as well as difficult, uneven, and rocky terrain, but it’s also intended for off-highway use only – as is the case with most all of these types of kits. It joins a host of similar offerings in the FPP catalog and others, including the Raptor Off-Road Driving Light Upgrade Kit, which gives owners of 2021-2023 Ford F-150 Raptor and 2022-2023 Ford Bronco Raptor models with factory equipped fog lights a big upgrade over the factory units via Rigid’s SR-M Driving Lamps.
