Ken Block's legacy is carried forth by a number of stunning builds, including his 1977 Ford F-150 affectionately dubbed the "Hoonitruck." That pickup has changed hands several times, most recently selling for $1 million. While that was rather disappointing for the family, Block's daughter, Lia Block, was recently given the opportunity to step behind the wheel of the iconic vehicle, taking it for a spin - quite literally.
On October 11th, 2025, Lia Block visited Willow Springs Reimagined, which is an event held at Willow Springs International Raceway. Lia Block took control of the Hoonitruck, turning it loose for its first public outing since Ken Block died in 2023. Milton Verret, the racing pickup's current owner, purchased the vehicle despite the Block family's best efforts to reacquire it, but thankfully, he hasn't kept it completely out of reach.
"It’s an honor to see this truck back where it belongs - on track, with Lia behind the wheel," said Verret. "Ken’s creativity and passion inspired millions, and this moment is a celebration of that enduring legacy. I would like to thank Lia, Lucy, and the entire Block family for making this possible."
Lia Block took the Ford F-150 Hoonitruck on track and let it do what it does best, ripping burnouts in front of the crowd.
"This means a lot to me and my family," said Lia Block. "Being able to drive the Hoonitruck means much more than just upholding a legacy. I have no doubt that my father would want to keep the spirit of this car alive for all that it stands for in the motorsport community."
The Ford F-150 Hoontruck spent some time on display at the Petersen Automotive Museum. The iconic pickup harnesses a heavily modified 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine under its hood. That powerhouse features a billet aluminum block and custom 3D-printed intake manifold, tuned to deliver 914 horsepower and 702 pound-feet of torque to all four wheels via its six-speed transmission.
