The Ford F-150 joined Australia's lineup back in 2023, where it’s being treated to a right-hand drive conversion by a company called RMA Automotive. However, that model has faced its fair share of issues since that launch, and while customers in the U.S. took delivery of the refreshed Ford F-150 in the 2024 model year, that same update was recently pushed back to mid-2025 for Australian consumers. That timeframe has since come and gone, and now, it seems as if the 2026 Ford F-150 will now finally give Aussie customers the updates Americans have had for quite some time.
According to Drive, the refreshed 2026 Ford F-150 will arrive in Australia early next year, which is more than two years after its debut in the U.S., following a pair of delays. As Ford Authority reported earlier this year, the pickup will continue to be offered in XLT and Lariat trims as is currently the case, but they'll be joined by the range-topping Platinum. Regardless, that model will only reportedly be available with one powertrain, as is the case with the XLT and Lariat - the twin-turbocharged 3.5L V6 EcoBoost, as well as in SuperCrew configuration only, but with an option for short or long beds.
The Aussie F-150 lineup will get the same sorts of updates as their American counterparts, including a standard 12-inch infotainment screen, as well as LED reflector headlamps. Lariat and Platinum customers can opt for the new Pro Access split tailgate feature, too. As for pricing, well, that has increased quite a lot, as is often the case with these sorts of updates.
In fact, the base 2026 Ford F-150 XLT short bed model starts out at $114,950 in Australia, which is $8,000 more than before, though the long bed will cost the same - a $7,005 jump over the prior model year. Stepping up to the Lariat will set one back $143,950 regardless of bed choice, a $4,000 increase for the short bed and $3,005 for the longer option. Finally, the range-topping F-150 Platinum lands with an MSRP of $163,950 in both guises, too.
