According to O’Dwyer’s PR News, former Apple Global PR Strategist Michaela Johndrow has left to become North America Electrified Vehicles Communications Manager for Ford. In the process, she’s moved from Cupertino, California to Ford’s hometown of Dearborn, Michigan. Her prior experience includes a couple of positions at Williams-Sonoma from 2009 to 2011, and before that, serving as Director of Dig Communications for 3 years, 8 months.
Also switching from Apple Inc. to Ford Motor Company is Colin Smith, previously a communications director for Apple’s Mac brand. He will now serve as Head of Communications at Ford Silicon Valley. His previous work experience in the field includes stints at Cisco, WebEx, and Antenna Group.
