Today’s Ford Mustang owner has no shortage of options as far as performance upgrades are concerned, but precious few aftermarket brand names carry as much weight as Hurst – a staple of the muscle car performance realm since 1958.
Now, Hurst Performance Products has revealed a new range of “Elite Series” performance packages for America’s contemporary muscle machines, including the S550 Ford Mustang. The package includes an “Elite Series Stage 1” spring kit, 20-inch “Stunner” wheels (9 inches wide in the front, 10 inches rear), a Competition Plus shifter, and a 304S stainless steel exhaust system designed and mandrel-bent by Flowmaster with an X-pipe and polished, straight-through Hurst mufflers.
There are plenty of strictly-cosmetic pieces in Hurst’s Elite Series Mustang package, too, like a 10-piece Hurst graphics package and embroidered floor mats. Both pieces are available with either red or gold as a primary color.
For the Mustang owner whose sole – or even primary – interest lies in acquiring more power, the new Hurst Elite Series performance package won’t deliver. But for those owners just looking for a few practical, sharp-looking bits from a legendary brand with indisputable pedigree, there are few options so alluring.
