The car that most people think of when it comes to the late ’50s is the 1957 Chevy. Ford was making some cool cars in the same era, and this restomod 1957 Ford Custom 2-door is a prime example. The car was restored to walk a line between a classic 1957 restoration and a restomod. The vehicle description notes this is the only year that the car came with the single headlight design with the restyled body.
This example is a beautiful sleeper; it looks like a fairly stock 1957 Ford Custom 2-door on the outside, but under the hood, it’s packing more power than the car would have had from the factory with a 351 cubic-inch Cleveland V8 paired with an automatic transmission with overdrive. The car has factory-style hub caps on the outside and appears perfectly restored.
The interior of the car is a two-tone gray with a pair of long bench seats with cloth inserts for where you sit. The door panels are freshened and match the new upholstery. The factory speedometer and odometer are present along with an aftermarket tachometer on the steering column and aftermarket gauges under the dash. The car also has an upgraded stereo system.
The 351 Cleveland V8 under the hood of the 1957 Ford Custom 2-door has some performance parts fitted with an Edelbrock four-barrel carb, Edelbrock performer intake, electronic ignition, and it exhales through a dual exhaust. Other features include a limited-slip rear end, wider rear tires than stock, power steering, and power brakes with discs up front.

Ford has a phenomenal history. It would be nice if Ford could produce replicas(with modern engines, airbags, ABS, etc.) of some of its awesome cars such as the 1949 Mercury Custom Coupe. Although I'm a Cadillac guy, that's one Ford product I would buy.
