Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E models in Canada due to defective windshields. This follows a similar recall recently issued pertaining to defective panoramic roof glass.
The defect: in affected vehicles, the windshield may not be properly attached.
The hazards: in affected vehicles, the glass can become loose and could separate from the vehicle in a crash, creating an increased risk of injury.
Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this issue.
Components: windshield.
Affected vehicles: select 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E models produced at the Ford Cuautitlan Assembly Plant.
Number of vehicles affected: 3,178 vehicles.
The fix: dealers will remove and reinstall the windshield.
Owners should: wait for communications from Ford. The Ford reference number for this recall is 21C22.

Great Mach E launch in Canada. This is the second recall for it in Canada. Ford must be shipping all the defective vehicles to Canada, as usual.
