We’re spending the weekend with the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E all-electric crossover. This is our second interactive review with the Mustang Mach-E, as we also spent some time with a Premium model back in December.

Our latest model is a well-optioned example equipped with the First Edition Package, which was only available for the 2021 model year and was part of the Premium trim in the form of the 301A equipment group. Our Mach-E is coated in Grabber Blue paint over a black perforated Active-X interior with blue stitching. This package includes a few additional goodies, including:

  • Unique brushed aluminum pedal covers
  • Aluminum front door scuff plates with First Edition lettering
  • Perforated ActiveX seating material
  • Red-painted front and rear brake calipers

Our 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E tester is also equipped with the following features:

  • Body color sideview mirror caps
  • Body color painted wheel lip moldings
  • 19-inch aluminum wheels with painted pockets
  • 225/55R19 all-season BSW tires

The MSRP for a base 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E is $49,700. Our Mach-E has $8,600 in options, which combined with the $1,100 delivery fee brings the total MSRP to $59,400.

The Mach-E with the extended range battery and eAWD is rated to produce 346 horsepower and 428 pound-feet of torque and features the single-speed transmission with 88 kWh of usable battery capacity for an EPA estimated 270 miles of range.

We’re spending the weekend with Ford’s all-electric crossover, so if you would like to know more about it, ask your questions in the comments section, and we’ll reply on Monday morning as part of our interactive review.

Ready… set… go!

We’ll have more on the Mach-E soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Mustang Mach-E news and continuous Ford news coverage.

    • I imagine not very much if at all! I'm sure they've learned from Teslas mistakes & improved upon things. This Mach-e has gotten rave reviews by everyone!

    • I don't plan on getting it below 20 percent. The battery is at 30 percent right now and has full power.

    • Stop sale order as of yesterday on all incoming and stock Mach-e's....possibly will
spread to a large number of existing built cars.
Issue with high voltage junction box relays

  • Where should we park in the parking lot as the MachE is made in Mexico? Also, parts of the Mustang are also made elsewhere? Thank you. Special exception area?

    • All the PROFITS come bk to the USA! Every AUTOMAKER foreign & domestic has operations in Mexico. Ford builds the MOST vehicles in the USA for the North American market! Fact. Ford has the most direct employees of any automaker operating in the US as well. Nice try. Ford is leading EV sales w/ outstanding products!

  • When Ford opens up online orders again in August, do you anticipate them doing the set online price? Like Farley mentioned recently?

  • With vinyl seats and no sun shade for the big moonroof, what is the temperature comfort level inside on sunny days over 80F? How “breathable” vs. sweaty are those perforated seats?

    • That's not vinyl it's leather! I've been in the new Mach-e it's excellent. Drives even better. Kudos to Ford Motor! All American 🇺🇸.

    • It was kind of hot when I got into the Mach-E at around 5 PM with roughly 85 degree temps but the seats are very breathable and the cabin cooled down within five minutes of being activated.

  • How much battery percentage is lost sitting unplugged overnight? My Model 3 only lost 1-3% depending on weather. Curious is the Mach-E is similar.

  • Several dealers in the Rochester NY area are adding "Market Adjustment* of
$5,000" to the price of the in stock Mustang Mach-E and $10,000 to the price of the Ford Bronco. This has soured my plans to purchase one of these vehicles from Ford. Hopefully Ford will end this dealer price gouging soon as it's damaging their reputation.

    • It's a very hot seller. I get what your saying. Why not call other Ford dealers in your vicinity & ask about pricing?

  • My 2021 Mach E is AWD with a 88 KWh battery, ordered Feb. 2021 at the Laurel, MT dealership, delivered Nov. 2021. To avoid utility demand charges, charging was set in the vehicle to occur at night between 9 pm and 6 am. Recommended 80% charge limit was also set. After downloading the Ford Pass app on an iPhone 13, the next charge went to 100%, charge time was during daytime utility demand hours, and 1 pedal drive setting changed to 2 pedal. Charging reverted to 80% during night time hours on the next charge cycle. I had to change 2 pedal drive back to 1 pedal drive. I prefer 1 pedal drive, like it a lot. Do you have an explanation for these glitches?
    My "real" Mustang is a 2008 GT with a 4.6 L V8 and a 5 speed Tremec gearbox--love it.

    • Awesome. I love the new Mach-e too an hope to have one soon. I'm sure they can address your concern on here or at the selling dealer. Enjoy!

    • My Mach-E has never deviated from one pedal driving. Sounds like your Mach-E needs to go to the dealer, unfortunately.

  • Why is it taking so long for Ford Mexico to ship Mach e to Canada. My car has been completed for weeks.

    • Just curious as to when you ordered your Mach E? I'm excited for the Mach E, but the timeline for this has pushed my patience.
