The lack of incentives or discounts toward the purchase or lease of the Transit Connect this month is no surprise, considering that the compact van range is extremely popular, with demand exceeding tight supply. This is the result of many factors preventing FoMoCo – and the automotive industry at large – from producing vehicles in the same quantities as before. This includes, but is not limited to, the ongoing global microchip shortage.

In fact, in the third quarter of 2022, the Transit Connect accounted for a whopping 80 percent of sales in its segment, outselling the Ram ProMaster City and now-discontinued Nissan NV200 by substantial margins. Thus, it stands to reason that Ford does not see a need to incentivize customers to purchase the Transit Connect.
