The Ford Escape was treated to a refresh for the 2023 model year, one that brought about revised, more squared-off exterior styling, along with some tech updates and a trim level revamp. Thus, few changes were expected for the 2024 Ford Escape, and true to form, that is the case, as the small crossover has received nothing more than a few minor updates for the new model year. Now, sources familiar with the matter have told Ford Authority that 2024 Ford Escape production will begin very soon, too.

Production of the 2024 Ford Escape is currently scheduled to begin at the Louisville Assembly plant on November 13th, though as is always the case, this date is subject to change. Regardless, it should only be a few more weeks before the model year changeover occurs at the Louisville plant.

For 2024, the Escape is getting one new exterior color choice to add to its list of options – Race Red – which joins Star White Metallic Tri-coat, Vapor Blue Metallic, Rapid Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, Iconic Silver Metallic, Carbonized Gray Metallic, Agate Black Metallic, and Oxford White. Customers can also choose from three interior colorways as well – Ebony, Space Gray, and Ebony with red stitching.

In addition to this update and the fact that the Base trim has become a fleet-only offering, the 2024 Ford Escape has also dropped the SecuriCode keyless entry keypad from the lineup. The factory navigation option has been reduced from three years to one, too. Otherwise, the 2024 Escape soldiers on into the new model year essentially unchanged since the 2023 refresh added the aforementioned updates, along with a standard 8-inch infotainment screen or a larger 13.2-inch unit running Sync 4 with standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel cluster is also available.

We’ll have more on the 2024 Ford Escape soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Escape news and 24/7 Ford news coverage.
