As it continues to roll out new post-purchase experiences, The Blue Oval recently announced that the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Track Attack Program has ended following the discontinuation of that particular pony car after the 2022 model year, but it has also been replaced with a new one – the Ford Mustang Dark Horse Track Attack, which is designed to help owners learn how to better pilot the new range-topping variant around a track. Along with announcing dates for this experience in January, registration for the new Ford Mustang Dark Horse Track Attack program just opened up back in February, but it seems as if the newest offering from the Ford Performance Racing School is already proving to be quite popular.

While there are still some courses available, three Ford Performance Racing School dates have already sold out, the automaker announced via X – April 13th, April 26th-27th, and June 6th-7th. Those that haven’t yet signed up can still opt in for one-day courses on May 3rd and June 21st, as well as a two-day school on July 4th-5th.

Those that purchase a new Dark Horse get this particular experience free as an added benefit, which consists of a full day of classroom instruction and track time. All of this takes place at the the Ford Performance Racing School at Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina, with a program that’s designed to appeal to everyone from beginners that have zero track experience to those that have quite a bit of wheel time in that regard.

The whole thing kicks off with an evening reception and dinner at Charlotte Motor Speedway the day before owners hit the classroom and track, which gives them the opportunity to meet their fellow students. The next morning at 8am, participants will enjoy some classroom instruction, skid pad exercises, acceleration and braking tests, and an overview of vehicle dynamics, followed by on-track sessions and demo laps with an instructor in the driver’s seat. Those interested in signing up or viewing available dates for the Ford Mustang Dark Horse Track Attack can do both by heading over here.

We’ll have more on the Ford Performance Racing School soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Mustang news and ongoing Ford news coverage.
