The proverbial paint was barely dry on the sixth-generation Ford Bronco when Hennessey announced that it would be building a gussied-up version of the off-road SUV dubbed the VelociRaptor 400. Production of that model didn’t begin until early 2022, however, and a few months later, it was joined by the VelociRaptor 500, which is based on the Ford Bronco Raptor. Now, those interested in purchasing a 2022 Ford Bronco Hennessey VelociRaptor 400 have the chance to do so second hand.
That’s because this 2022 Ford Bronco Hennessey VelociRaptor 400 is currently up for grabs over at Cars & Bids, and it only has 300 miles on the clock – meaning that it’s still basically brand new. It’s finished in Oxford White paint with a Carbonized Gray hardtop and a Sandstone and black interior, along with all of the upgrades Hennessey bestows upon these particular models. On the outside, those include unique a leveling kit, 18-inch wheels, 35-inch off-road tires, VelociRaptor bumpers and badges, and power-retractable side steps.
Inside the cabin, this 2022 Ford Bronco Hennessey VelociRaptor 400 touts embroidered headrests and a numbered plaque on the dash, which accompany the many niceties included with the factory Lux Package. Under the hood, the VelociRaptor 400 gets a tune, an upgraded exhaust system, a high-flow air induction system, and an engine management software upgrade, helping its twin-turbocharged 2.7L V6 EcoBoost engine produce 405 horsepower and 503 pound-feet of torque, which is an increase of 75 horsepower and 88 pound-feet of torque over stock.
When new, the Ford Bronco Hennessey VelociRaptor 400 started out at around $80,000 and was limited to just 200 units of production, so it’ll be interesting to see what this example hammers for when the auction is over. However, given its rarity and array of upgrades, it wouldn’t be surprising to see it eclipse that mark – or, at the very least, come close to it.
