Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2024 Ford Ranger models over a fuel vapor leak issue.
The defect: in affected vehicles, the fuel vapor line bracket may have insufficient clearance to the fuel vapor line, which can result in fuel vapor line damage that can lead to a fuel vapor leak.
The hazards: a fuel vapor leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.
Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this issue.

Affected vehicles: select 2024 Ford Ranger pickups produced at the Michigan Assembly plant between July 19th, 2023, and July 27th, 2024.
Number of vehicles affected: 65
The fix: dealers will inspect for a fuel vapor line bracket and install a tie strap to secure the fuel vapor line to the bracket, free of charge.
Owners should: wait for communications from Ford, which will begin on November 25th, 2024. The Ford reference number for this recall is 24S71.
