The Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 has existed in several pony car generations, typically representing the top of the proverbial lineup in terms of outright performance. As such, GT500 models from the past typically hold their value quite well – and in many cases, increase in value over time as well. Given that fact, it’s not surprising to see that many Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 models are stashed away when new and barely driven, only to resurface years later on the auction circuit – and that’s true of this 2007 model that just popped up for sale, too.

This 2007 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is up for auction at Bring a Trailer with just 945 miles on the clock, and as such, it’s in basically brand new condition, as one would expect. It’s also one of just 2,153 coupes finished in Torch Red from the factory, which in this case is accented by white stripes. There are zero noted flaws marring the outside of this Shelby Mustang, which has all of its original gear intact – including hood vents, a rear spoiler, Shelby badging, and polished 18-inch forged-alloy wheels wrapped with Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires.

Peek inside the cabin, and one will find Dark Charcoal leather with embossed Shelby Cobra logos on the front bucket seats, plus the Shaker 1000 sound system, a CD stereo, cruise control, and air conditioning, though it’s worth noting the included Carfax report notes that the left and right airbag assemblies were replaced in July 2019 for unknown reasons. Power comes from the supercharged Ford 5.4L V8, which was factory rated to send 500 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels via a Tremec six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.

This is just the latest ultra low-mile S197 Ford Mustang GT500 that we’ve spotted at auction, however. That list also includes a couple of stellar models from the 2007 model year, too –  a coupe with a little under 1,000 miles, as well as a convertible with just 500 miles.
