Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2015-2017 Lincoln Navigator SUVs over a a potential fire risk pertaining to the side mirrors.
The defect: in affected vehicles, the LED logo lights on the exterior mirrors may short circuit. Impacted parts came from Ford supplier Magna International.
The hazards: an electrical short circuit in the exterior mirror increases the risk of fire.
Ford is not aware of any reports of accidents or injuries related to this condition.

Affected vehicles: select 2015-2017 Lincoln Navigator models produced at the Ford Kentucky Truck plant between January 17th, 2014, and June 30th, 2017.
Number of vehicles affected: 35,328
The fix: dealers will disconnect the LED light wires, free of charge.
Owners should: wait for communications from Ford, which will begin on March 24th, 2025. The Ford reference number for this recall is 25S08.
