2025 Ford Mustang Grilles: Everything You Need To Know

The 2025 Ford Mustang soldiers on largely unchanged from its complete overhaul for the 2024 model year, and that means it carries on with its iconic seventh-gen expression. That unmistakable front fascia is identified by the wide grille through which the pony car breathes, and each trim gets its own unique treatment and then some thanks to a handful of optional packages. Below, Ford Authority explains everything about each Ford Mustang grille.

The entry level 2025 Ford Mustang EcoBoost and EcoBoost Premium trims feature the black molded-in-color (MIC) grille. This grille is exclusive to this trim and is the only option offered for these models, meaning it does not add any extra cost to the pony car’s price.

The 2025 Ford Mustang GT offers the widest array of unique grille options. The standard grille is the Unique High Gloss Black-painted front grille, while the GT Premium gets the Painted Ebony Black grille. The GT Performance Package, which costs $5,445, adds that same Painted Ebony Black grille to any GT model it’s equipped on. Buyers in search of something really unique can add the California Special Package for $2,195, which includes a grille that features Black Horizontal Bars with Rave Blue bars. The 60th Anniversary Package, which costs $3,995, also adds a unique grille: the Painted High Gloss Black Honeycomb grille with Iconic Silver Inserts.

Finally, the 2025 Ford Mustang Dark Horse and Dark Horse Premium trims include the Unique Painted Front Upper Grille with Pony Badge with Unique Painted Lower and Outboard Grilles. This is the only option offered on the track-ready pony car.

While they don’t include grille upgrades, Ford Authority previously outlined every package available for the 2025 Ford Mustang EcoBoost and Ford Mustang Dark Horse, including each bundle’s pricing and availability.

The 2025 Ford Mustang range carries on with minor changes and updates. It does, however, move on from four exterior colors that were previously offered, although it did add a new one called Molten Magenta.

  1. Yet every one of these grilles is a styling disaster… nowhere near as attractive than any 2005-2023 model Mustang.

  2. …and sales are tanking, seriously tanking.

    1. … tanking without competition from Camaro and Challenger. Who wants to go to a truck dealer to buy a sports car!?!?!? And prices are getting close to Porsche… without the brand cache or quality.
