Despite undergoing a significant midcycle refresh for the 2025 model year, the 2026 Ford Maverick receives quite a few subtle changes and updates. One such update pertains to its passenger seat, and it’s a change that might fly under the radar if you’re not looking for it.
Sources familiar with the matter told Ford Authority that the 2026 Ford Maverick XLT Luxury Package no longer features a six-way manual passenger seat. Instead, the compact pickup gets a four-way manual passenger seat, which is already standard on the XLT trim. Note that the driver’s side power adjustment remains untouched. In other words, the driver’s seat still features eight-way power adjustment.
As a reminder, the XLT Luxury Package is optional on the 2026 Ford Maverick XLT. It includes the following content:
- 8-Way Power Driver Seat
- Pro Power Onboard – 400W
- Heated Sideview Mirrors with Painted Black Skull Caps
- Heated Seats
- Soft Vinyl-Wrapped Heated Steering Wheel
- LED Box Lighting
- Remote Start System
Pricing for the 2026 Ford Maverick XLT Luxury Package has not yet been released. However, for the sake of context, it’s priced at $1,890 on the 2025 Maverick XLT.
The 2026 Maverick is once again offered with the turbocharged 2.0L I-4 EcoBoost powerplant with front-wheel-drive (FWD) after the combination was dropped for the 2025 model year. Its lineup also includes a few new colors, including Orange Fury Metallic Tri-Coat and Marsh Gray. It does lose its black Ford ovals, though, meaning every model – including Lobo and Tremor – now feature blue Ford emblems instead. The wireless charging pad is also a thing of the past, as is the power sliding rear window.
The compact pickup also loses its standard spare tire, but it’s still available as a standalone extra-cost option. The rear armrest, which folded out of the rear bench seatback to give its passengers access to cupholders, is also gone, but only for the XLT trim. But it’s not all deletions and de-contenting for the 2026 Ford Maverick – it gains the Ford Connectivity Package, keeping its passengers connected with unlimited Wi-Fi and more, for a fee.
