Revology Cars – the first company to produce a replica of the first-generation Ford Mustang – has announced new options and pricing details for its lineup of original Mustang replica models.
The most important announcement is that Ford’s modern, dual-overhead cam Coyote V8 will now be standard equipment on all 19641/2 to 1966 Ford Mustang replica cars, starting this summer. Revology Cars Founder and CEO Tom Scarpello calls the 5.0L Coyote V8 “a jewel,” saying that “driving a Coyote-powered Revology Mustang is an amazing experience.”
With a 435 horsepower Coyote V8 under the hood, Revology’s 3,235-pound Ford Mustang replica ought to be good for a quarter-mile time below 12 seconds, and acceleration to 60 mph in under 4 seconds, according to the company. But of course, “the numbers don’t tell the whole story,” reminds Mr. Scarpello. “Our cars are about the joy of driving. Even driving normally, in a Revology Mustang, you know you’re driving something special.”
The 5.0-liter Coyote V8 brings with it the cooling system and engine accessories of the current S550 Ford Mustang GT, and the engine comes backed by a 24-month warranty from Ford. Pricing has increased 3.7% on average to cover the higher cost of installation, while GM’s 6.2-liter LS3 small block is still available as a no-cost option.
Revology Cars has also gained a full, in-house trim and upholstery department, helping the firm to offer new interior options like leather-wrapped seating and interior panels, aluminum and wood veneers in a variety of finishes, and premium carpeting.
