Ford Motor Company is recalling a large selection of 2020 model year Ford vehicles over a safety compliance issue regarding the rearview camera.

The defect: insufficient voltage due to a defect in the circuit board internal to the camera may cause intermittent issues with image distortion and blank displays.

The hazards: safety concerns are minimal. This is a compliance recall to ensure the rearview camera system is operating in a way that is compliant with current Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.

Ford Motor Company is not aware of any reports of accident or injury related to this condition.

Components: rearview camera assembly.

The fix: dealers will remove and replace the defective rear camera unit.

  • I have a 2020 Lincoln Aviator with the rear camera issue but I did not see it listed on
    your recall list .
    Please advise your comments
    Thank you

  • 701,114 vehicles recalled on top of previous recalls? this company's quality control reminds me of the transmission problems they had during the seventies.

  • I've complained repeatedly to the dealership about it.. I have a 2020 F-150 and the problem is interment glad they finally issued a recall notice on it.

  • They are aware of accidents, I reported mine!! Is Ford now covering up accidents they are responsible for??? Looks like it to me! I’m thinking an attorney and massive lawsuit is in order!

    • Lawsuit? Only the lawyers might make money if allowed to go to court. Consumers, maybe a free oil change.

  • I have a 2011 ford explorer limited. /while backing out of my garage the other day my rear camera had a momentary glitch, went out came back on minus the guide lines. what can I do. Camera still works.

  • I have a 2016 F250 Super Duty with a back up camera problem. It's more prevalent when raining, but is now happening ore often in dry weather. Not sure what the deal is with it. Any suggestions?
