Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2020-2021 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator vehicles over defective wiper arms. This recall also affects select 2020-2021 Ford F-150 models and 2020-2022 Ford Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 vehicles.
The defect: the windshield wiper arms may break, causing the windshield wipers to fail.
The hazards: inoperative windshield wipers can reduce visibility in certain driving conditions, increasing the risk of a crash.
Ford Motor Company is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this condition.
Components: windshield wiper arms.
Affected vehicles: select 2020-2021 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator models produced from August 1st, 2020, to October 20th, 2021.
Number of vehicles affected: 114,923 vehicles
The fix: dealers will replace both front windshield wiper arms, free of charge.
Owners should: wait for communications from Ford, which will begin the week of May 23rd, 2022. The Ford reference number for this recall is 22S26.
