Ford Ranger Loses Control, Takes Out Ford Mustang: Video

As Blue Oval fans are painfully aware by now, the Ford Mustang has developed a bit of an unsavory reputation for being, well, a bit easy to crash – whether that be into other cars, people, or even things like buildings. Of course, most of us know that the real root cause of this particular problem stems from the person that’s behind the wheel of those vehicles, many of whom aren’t necessarily skilled enough drivers to be out doing crazy things in a V8-powered, rear-wheel drive pony car. However, in this recent incident, it wasn’t the Mustang that was to blame for an alarming crash, but rather, a Ford Ranger that smashed into the poor pony car while it was parked.

In this video recently posted to Facebook, we can see the Ford Mustang just sitting in someone’s driveway, though shortly thereafter, a Ford Ranger traveling at a high rate of speed appears in the frame. The driver of the Ranger loses control and turns sideways before running into a grassy area, which causes it to take flight – quite literally. After rolling over on its roof, the Ford Ranger proceeds to smash right into the poor Mustang, though at least the drop top doesn’t appear to have suffered nearly as much damage as the pickup.

Sadly, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen a stationary Blue Oval model find itself on the wrong end of a bad driver – not by a long shot. In fact, over the past year or so, we’ve watched as a Ford Super Duty water truck smashed into a Ford Expedition in horrific fashion, seen a Ford F-150 try to overtake a Mustang before losing control and destroying that pony car, and witnessed a Ford Bronco driver abruptly change lanes and smash into a Ford Explorer as well.
