2025 Ford Expedition Has Arrived At Dealers

The redesigned 2025 Ford Expedition made its official debut last October, bringing with it a host of updates ranging from revamped exterior styling to new features and a very much overhauled interior. As Ford Authority reported shortly thereafter, production of the all-new Expedition began at the Kentucky Truck plant back on January 6th, 2025, so it was only a matter of time before we began seeing the SUV pop up at dealer lots. Now, that’s precisely what has happened.

A quick search on Autotrader turns up a little over 2,000 2025 Ford Expedition SUVs listed for sale at dealer lots across the U.S., in fact. Among that group, we spotted a pretty diverse array of trims and configurations, including the new off-road-focused Tremor (which replaces the Timberline) in both Georgia and Ohio, as well as a Platinum in Kentucky. Pricing for the 2025 Ford Expedition tops out around the $90k mark, and one trim has already been treated to a price increase.

The 2025 Ford Expedition will be available in regular and extended-length Max guise, along with trim levels consisting of the Active, King Ranch, Platinum, and Tremor. The entire lineup sports fresh styling both up front and in the rear, where one will find a nifty new feature called Ford Split Gate, which functions much like a regular tailgate on a pickup. The top three-quarters of the liftgate raises upward, while the lower portion folds down, and can support up to 500 pounds. The Split Gate also features a seatback as part of the optional Cargo Tailgate Manager, and can transform into a serving table, to boot.

Inside the cabin, the biggest change present in the 2025 Ford Expedition is the addition of a new 24-inch panoramic display that doubles as the instrument cluster and is paired with an 13.2-inch center screen running the fairly new Ford Digital Experience software. Power continues to come from the twin turbocharged 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine, which churns out 400 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque in standard guise, or 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet in the high-output version, which is standard in the Tremor and optional on Platinum models.

  • I own a 2024 Ford Expedition XLT Max..Not much different from 2025 .. I like the . mechanical and space arrangements.. but it's it's a long car .. they should have installed bigger tyres or kept a good ground clearance. Few times I took it to the desert and mud.. the middle portion of the car simply sits on the ground and the wheels are simply rotating :(.. I went to the dealership to change my tyres they said no.. and told me that they will void the warranty completely if I modify it outside.. at least a 2" lift with the same tyre size they won't allow. The company should provide lifting for off-road users.

  • The second biggest problem with my 2024 ford expedition XLT Max is that the rear body vibrates a lot on highways.. my strong kids vomited during many long trips.. they never would like to use the third row while driving.. perhaps this is some sort of suspension issues or a poor areodynamiccs design.
