The Ford Authority Take

Ford Brazil sales healthy April continued to drive the brand’s strong performance in the South American country, where it is experiencing its best sales performance since FoMoCo Brasil transformed from a manufacturer to a net vehicle importer. In fact, last month’s result represents Ford’s 13th monthly increase in the Brazilian market.

Repeating what happened in March, Ford Brazil’s strong performance in April was driven by improved sales of the same three vehicles, including the Ford Ranger, Ford F-150, and Ford Mustang. The Ranger remains a solid leader in the portfolio as the best-selling model and was primarily responsible for the brand’s monthly improvement.

Furthermore, the Ford F-150 again posted healthy growth and maintained the strong pace of previous months, although it dropped from second to third place in sales in the local full-size pickup segment after being overtaken by the Chevrolet Silverado. Meanwhile, the Ford Mustang maintained its triple-digit growth and remains Ford’s fastest-growing nameplate in Brazil.
