Enthusiasts with a soft spot for the 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 can now proudly display their appreciation for the classic pony car on their wrist, thanks to a new watch offered by Bulova.

Bulova has a long history in motorsport and car culture, and they partnered with Shelby American to produce the limited edition watch to celebrate Bulova’s 150th anniversary. The timepiece was heavily inspired by the 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, featuring a thick 43mm silver-tone stainless steel bullhead case with a black tachymeter ring. It’s decorated with Shelby’s iconic blue and white color combination on the HBNR rubber strap and dial accents. The watch is powered by high-precision quartz Precisionist movement with a frequency of 262 khz for maximum accuracy.

Of course, the watch is emblazoned with the Shelby Cobra icon, which is prominently displayed at the 3 o’clock indicator. It includes a case back engraved with Carroll Shelby’s signature, and is included in a keepsake box alongside a 1:24-scale diecast model of the 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. Just 7,500 units will be sold worldwide, and each watch is numbered on its case back. The watch is priced at $1,350, and can be purchased on Bulova’s website or through an authorized retailer.

Experience the thrill of speed, right on your wrist,” reads the watch’s product description. “As part of a new collaboration for Bulova’s 150th Anniversary, the new limited-edition Bulova  Racing Chronograph combines  legendary muscle car customizer Carroll Shelby’s trailblazing racing style with Bulova’s innovative watchmaking technology.”

High-end chronographs and high-performance vehicles go hand-in-hand. Watch manufacturer REC offered an extremely limited edition watch paying homage to the 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback Eleanor. A few years ago, Shinola teamed up with Lincoln to offer a Lincoln-themed watch featuring the marque’s iconic star logo – not too long after the automaker and lifestyle designer collaborated on the luxurious Lincoln Aviator Shinola Concept.
