The 2025 Ford Expedition features one engine option with two output ratings. That engine is the 3.5L EcoBoost V6, rated at 400 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque in its “regular” guise 0r 440 horsepower and 510 horsepower in high-output guise. Production of the 2025 Ford Expedition is handled at the Kentucky Truck plant. Assembly began in January 2025.
The 2025 Expedition features two seating configurations, seating either seven or eight passengers. The first is the Dual Captain’s Chairs with Leather-Trimmed Seating Material setup, arranged 2x2x3 configuration and accommodating seven passengers. This arrangement includes two front row captain’s chairs (seating two), second-row captain’s chairs (seating two), and a third-row bench seat (seating three).
The second is the Power-Folding 40/20/40 seating arrangement, which includes two front captain’s chairs (seating two), a second-row Tip and Fold bench seat (seating three), and a third-row bench seat (seating three).
The Ford Expedition is expected to undergo a midcycle refresh before the end of the decade. That could mean the introduction of a hybrid powertrain as soon as 2028 as Ford continues to bolster its lineup with a hybrid powertrain offering.
