The 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning represents the fourth model year of the electric pickup’s first generation for which it receives minor updates and changes, including the addition of the new Dark Elements Package, addition of standard SiriusXM radio on all trims, changes in Extended Range battery availability, and more.
Model Line
The 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning model line consists of five trim levels. They are as follows:
- Pro
- XLT
- Flash
- Lariat
- Platinum
Mechanical
- 123 kWh Extended Range battery is now optional on Pro; standard on Flash
- For 2024, this was not available on Pro; optional on Flash
Exterior
- Addition of 18-inch Alloy Gloss Black wheels
- Availability: standard on Pro and XLT trims
- For the 2024 model year, these wheels were not available
- Front and rear molded splash guards without wheel lip molding are now a dealer-installed option
- For the 2024 model year, this option was factory installed
- Tire inflator and sealant kit replaces 18-inch spare tire
- For the 2024 model year, 18-inch spare tire was standard on all trims
- Addition of Carbon Black fixed extended running boards as a standalone option for all Pro trim models
- For the 2024 model year, these were standard only on Extended Range Pro models
- Deletion of Bed Storage Box
- For the 2024 model year, Bed Storage Box was standard on Pro models
- Deletion of Avalanche paint
- Addition of Space White Metallic paint
- Tailgate step is now optional on Flash

Interior And Comfort
- ActiveX trimmed seats are now standard on Flash
- For the 2024 model year, ActiveX seats were not available on Flash
- Deletion of Interior Worksurface from XLT and Flash trims
- For the 2024 model year, Interior Worksurface was standard on all trims
- SiriusXM with 360L Radio is now standard on all trims
- For the 2024 model year, SiriusXM was standard on XLT, Lariat, and Platinum
- Deletion of wireless charging pad from Flash
- For the 2024 model year, this was standard on Flash; it remains standard on Lariat and Platinum
Safety and Security
- SecuriCode wireless keyless entry keypad is now optional on XLT and Flash
- For the 2024 model year, SecuriCode keypad was standard on all trim levels
- SecuriCode keypad is now standard on Lariat and Platinum trims
- For the 2024 model year, SecuriCode Keypad was standard on all trim levels
Advanced Driver Assist Systems
- Predictive Speed Assist (Speed Sign Recognition) is now standard on Flash instead of Pro
- For the 2024 model year, Predictive Speed Assist was standard on Pro
- One-year complimentary BlueCruise subscription is now standard on Platinum
- For the 2024 model year, BlueCruise three-year complimentary plan was standard on Platinum
Packages
- E-Locker now included in Max Trailer Tow Package
- For the 2024 model year, this was not included in this package
- Deletion of Platinum Black Package
- For the 2024 model year, Platinum Black Package was optional on Platinum trim
- Deletion of Smart Hitch and Onboard Scales from Tow Tech Package
- For the 2024 model year, these features were included in the Tow Tech Package
