2023 Ford Escape / Kuga Unofficially Rendered As Baby Mustang Mach-E

Both the 2023 Ford Escape and Lincoln Corsair are due for a refresh ahead of a more comprehensive redesign in 2025, as Ford Authority previously reported, and spies have spotted multiple prototypes of each new crossover over the past couple of months. Both models will feature revised front-end styling, which is evident from the prototypes’ heavy camo in that particular area, so we don’t yet know exactly what either will look like. However, an artist that goes by the Instagram handle of kolesaru recently gave us a sneak peek at what the 2023 Ford Escape (or Kuga in Europe) might look like, with some decidedly Ford Mustang Mach-E inspired styling.

The renderings are based on previously-seen spy photos that reveal LED headlights that look a lot like the Mach-E’s, though Ford Authority spies have also spotted both a higher trim model and a lower trim level model with different headlights and a few other styling differences. The same goes for the “mesh” front grille – similar to what’s present on the 2022 Ford Escape Titanium – and the taillights, which are a bit more stylized compared to the current-gen model.

These renderings also depict large air intakes flanking the squared-off oval-shaped grille, along with a heavily stylized line below the grille. These features are not visible on the prototypes we’ve seen thus far, as they’re covered by camo. Regardless, they give off a Ford Evos-like look, which is a big departure from the softer, curvier lines of the current Escape. Inside, the refreshed crossover will feature a large infotainment screen, as Ford Authority reported back in November, which will also be the case with the Corsair.

Additionally, the 2023 Corsair is set to receive a host of new tech features including Lincoln ActiveGlide – the brand’s hands-free driver-assist system – improved voice recognition, the introduction of SYNC 4, and a hybrid powertrain option.

  1. styling is subjective, sure, but to me this is dramatically better than the current one which looks like a character from the Pixar Cars movies

  2. yeah that will not save the Escape…this generation started meh and it’s not getting much better – just take a solid look at sales number….the 3cyl engine is crap, the interior is crap, the design is meh, it’s just not there.

  4. Hey Jimbo,
Listen buddy, listen to me while you count your 23 million. 3 cylinder is a slap in the face. Let me ask you, would you make this your daily driver? Would you let any of your family members drive this? I’m thinking your gut reaction is “Heck No” but you wouldn’t say that out loud. How about you contribute your time, money and energy to delivering those Broncos to those that have been waiting 2 years. Kind of ridiculous, huh? Waiting 2 years to deliver something that’s been out for how long now?
