Ford’s Mexican lineup has expanded considerably in recent months, adding models like the all-new 2024 Ford Mustang, the Ford Mustang Mach-E Premium and GT, the retro-themed Ford Bronco Heritage, and its smaller counterpart, the Ford Bronco Sport Heritage as well. Now, following the debut of the Ford Bronco Sport Black Diamond in the U.S. nearly one year ago, that same unique variant has also launched in Mexico, the automaker has announced.
Designed to appeal to off-road enthusiasts who desire a bit more style and capability off the pavement, the Ford Bronco Sport Black Diamond Special Edition, as it’s known south of the border, adds a host of unique elements to the rugged crossover, including Jungle Green paint, a matte black hood graphic, lower bodyside graphics with Bronco lettering on the front driver and passenger side doors, and 17-inch Carbonized Gray low-gloss aluminum wheels, which are wrapped with 225/65 R17 Continental all-terrain tires in this case.
Underneath, the Bronco Sport Black Diamond touts a total of four steel bash plates designed to protect the mechanicals and powertrain components of the crossover, plus the fuel tank, canister shield, and front end. Power comes from the turbocharged Ford 1.5L I-3 EcoBoost engine, which cranks out 181 horsepower and 190 pound-feet of torque, flowing to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Ford Bronco Sport Black Diamond is available to purchase now with a starting MSRP of $752,000 MXN ($42,177 USD).
“For adventurers looking to get more from their Ford Bronco Sport, we are improving the user experience by offering greater ability to conquer any terrain,” said Lucien Pinto, director of Marketing and Sales at Ford of Mexico.
