Over the years, we’ve seen our fair share of celebrity-owned Ford-branded vehicles hit the auction block or oftentimes sell for big bucks, a list that includes a 1956 Ford Thunderbird owned by socialite Kris Jenner, NASCAR driver Joey Logano’s customized 2021 Ford Bronco, the late Ken Block’s Ford F-150 RaptorTrax build, and dozens of vehicles from the personal collection of boxing legend George Foreman. Now, we have another intriguing example to add to this list – Jimmy Buffett’s 1963 Ford Falcon – which is set to be auctioned off at a GAA Classic Cars sale later this month.
Sadly, Buffett passed away last September after a stellar career as a singer and songwriter that spanned several decades and more than 30 albums. Buffett’s laid-back tropical vibe resonated with many over that time span, leaving an indelible mark on the world of music along the way. As it turns out, Buffett also had good taste in cars as well, as this 1963 Ford Falcon is a pretty nice machine in its own right.
Buffett purchased this classic Falcon in 2002 and immediately set out to enhance it a bit, adding a new intake manifold and a Holley carb, Australian sheepskin seat covers (which are now resting in the trunk), a roll bar to hold his surf boards, and of course, an aftermarket stereo system to the small convertible. The car also comes with a guitar bearing his signature, plus a certificate of authenticity for both.
Otherwise, this 1963 Ford Falcon is a nice, clean example of its breed, finished in an attractive shade of blue with a matching interior and a white soft top. Given Buffett’s global appeal and the millions of fans that still adore him today, we have no doubt that this vintage Falcon will attract its fair share of attention when it crosses the auction block in a couple of weeks.

Had a modified 1960 that I sold. Should have kept it!
