Ford E-Transit sales kept it at the top of a small but growing segment during Q4 2023, with just a 1.42 percent rise to 2,143 units.
Next were the two entries from Rivian, the EDV/Delivery 700 and EDV/Delivery 500, which posted 1,300 and 200 deliveries, respectively.
These were followed by the two BrightDrop models, the Zevo 600 and Zevo 400, with 150 and 14 units sales, respectively.

In terms of segment share, Ford E-Transit sales commanded a 56 percent share, while the EDV/Delivery 700 grabbed a 34 percent segment share. Meanwhile, the EDV/Delivery 500 posted a five percent share and the Zevo 600 held a four percent share. The Zevo 400 registered no share.
FoMoCo currently has three EVs on sale, with the Ford E-Transit cargo van joined by the F-150 Lightning full-size pickup truck and Ford Mustang Mach-E crossover. F-150 Lightning and Mustang Mach-E sales were nearly equal during Q4 2023 at about 12K deliveries each, while the E-Transit move 2,143 units.

Overall, the full-size electric van segment grew 12 percent to 3,807 units during Q4 2023, meaning that E-Transit sales underperformed the segment average.
Sales performance of the Ford E-Transit during the fourth quarter of 2023, while slight, finished out the year on top as competitors add more models.
To that end, Rivian has opened up sales of its EDV models to other customers, marketed as the Delivery 500 and Delivery 700, as its exclusive agreement with Amazon ends. That means the Ford E-Transit will compete with Rivian vans on a broader scale.
Furthermore, recently the 2024 Ram ProMaster EV debuted as an all-new Ford E-Transit rival.
For its part, The Blue Oval is already working on a second-generation Ford E-Transit, which may be built in Ohio.
When the all-electric Ford E-Transit van arrived on scene in early 2022, its success caught The Blue Oval by surprise, with it racing up to catch up with demand. Since then, the E-Transit is now among the most popular fleet EVs.
This past November, the Ford E-Transit won the Parkers 2024 Best Electric Van award. Then in December, the E-Transit 350 won Vincentric’s 2024 Best CPO (Certified Pre-Owned) Value in America Awards in the Large Cargo Van category.
