Along with its mainstream counterpart, the Ford Explorer, the 2025 Lincoln Aviator was just treated to a refresh for the new model year, and both models began shipping to customers and dealers back in early August. However, it seems as if The Blue Oval isn’t quite finished treating the 2025 Lincoln Aviator to updates just yet, as the availability of its Illumination Package has already changed, too.
The Illumination Package is no longer included as standard equipment on Reserve trim 2025 Lincoln Aviator models as part of the Job 2 production update, which began on November 25th. The package is now available as an option on Reserve I (200A) models for an extra $2,000, though it remains standard on Reserve II (201A) crossovers. The Illumination Package adds a host of unique elements including an illuminated Lincoln Star in the front grille, adaptive pixel LED headlamps, speed dependent lighting, adaptive dynamic bending lighting, and dynamic signature lighting with LED daytime running lamps.
This change is one of a few that have taken place as part of the Job 2 production update for the 2025 Lincoln Aviator, as Ford Authority has reported in recent weeks. The luxurious model has also lost its rear door sunshades that were previously optional on the Reserve trim as part of the Luxury Package, which is standard on Black Label models. The previously-standard Enhanced Security Package was also deleted across the entire lineup, too.
Job 2 2025 Lincoln Aviator production also marked the arrival of the new Moonbeam theme, which is designed to pay tribute to 10 years of Black Label in general, and as the name might suggest, it’s inspired by a lunar landscape. The new theme takes inspiration from space travel and the moon’s various textures and glow at night. One will find a new light green hue reminiscent of that glow, accented by dark green piping, along with light green perforated leather seating designed to look like a shooting star trail, a laser-engraved moon ash appliqué reminiscent of the moon’s surface, plus open pore khaya wood.

Useless, expensive trinkets except for the headlights. Why are all the manufacturers now trying to emulate Porsche optioning consumers to death… debt… most of which will develop glitches halfway through the warranty.
